Dance Ejay 6 Mixes.   Go to Music Search

The mixes on this page are used with the 6 programme. If any of the mixes contain any samples from the other EJay programmes then you will not be able to hear the full mix unless you have these programmes as well... The mixes are all zipped, because they are faster for you to download. If a mix has any "imported" or "tweeked" samples, they are normally saved into the mix, but it makes the file size much larger. Any message or text that you want to send with your mix will be added as well, unless stated otherwise..

Please note right mouse clicking the download buttons on this page and choosing save as will not work as they are only links to the actual download page in order for downloads to be counted.

You have listened to this one already. Anyhow, this one is my first DE6 mix.

Webmaster Review: ( Historic JJ Review) I must say to start off, how impressed I am with both the de5 and de6 mixes that have so far been submitted... This being the first de6 mix to the site from Steve, is quite an impressive debut for this format... A little clappy intro leads up to the echoey vocals samples which are the best highlights in this tune for me... Once the tune gets into the main theme, it's very rythmic and flowing, and as is usual with Steve's mixes, very well worked through the sequences, with hardly any hint of glitching on the crossovers... The only thing I wasn't too keen on, is the strange spacy effect(?) sample that occassionally cuts in, and finishes off the tune, because the tones of this sample are totally different to the harmonies in the rest of the tune... Another good tune from Steve, who is proving to be very diverse and creative ...

Webmaster Review: A whoosh sound effect announces a bass line, bass drum and hi hat 4 on the floor rhythm. Later another "rhythmic synth" techno line is skilfully faded in, forming the main groove. At the 29 second mark a catchy hook line enters the mix. After another whoosh an middle 8 or bridge is formed by a delayed bass line solo. This is shortly joined by a bass drum and hi hat, later clap and finally additional reverbed hats and the slow fade in of the returning “rhythmic synth”. The end of the middle 8 introduces a conclusion which is the main groove and a series of very trancey synth lines melodies and harmonies that form an amazingly danceable finale. The final ending is on bass drum, hi-hat and percussion, then the whoosh sound effect that started the track, followed by snare drum roll and crash. My score is 9.5 out of 10. An excellent dance/trance track by the original J-Jay master and owner of this site. Well worth listening to.

Here is the mix file its a dance 6 assembled track i produced, I'd be really glad that this mix rests like it is, i worked hard on it, thats why i do not like to send my work as mix cause i want to keep them unique

Webmaster Review: This track uses melodic bass and lead combinations to create a very listenable tune. Maximum respect the fact the musical key is not A minor. There is a very clever intense build at the beginning and professional appropriate sounding breaks with fx or reverse cymbal. The general structure is good with new instruments and bass, leads varying appropriately, and the drum rolls introduce new parts well. I like the fact that there is a unexpected chord progression in the middle of the mix where the musical key alters temporarily. There is a tapping rhythm with variation of instrument and percussion arrangement. In fact the extra high hat in the middle of the mix really lifts it slightly to give even more variation at the right time. The general balance and levels of the mix is spot on. The vocals come in to enhance breaks appropriately and general add excitement and menace to the mix. I rate this track as a 10.

Completely different to my first track. Hope y'all enjoy. Cheers, Matt Hull.

Webmaster Review: What can I say this track is brilliant melodic techno trance? It has a great introduction and overall structure. The combination of instruments and arrangement is spot on, and the vocal is extremely well used. The drums and hi hats vary and drop when needed. Variation is splendid as there are different bass drum plus string synthesizer solos to get the rave arms waving followed by professional rebuilds. There is a well thought out and slightly original conclusion too. I rate this track with 10 out of 10. My re-master has simply boosted aspects of the track that were already excellent. Frequency band compressions with room reverbs and equalisation have been applied to give strings and vocals presence in the mix. The mp3 is new.
